"raven" This piece was painted shortly after a close friend of my mother's passed away... her name - Raven Hail and she was a Cherokee Elder. At the time, this was nothing like the style I was painting in, and I felt then and feel now, that it had something to do with her.... others see many things... i see a bird, resting confidently and proudly full of potential energy, in that moment before becoming kinetic.
