Silver Spring based artist Lizzie Spaceship AKA ARTbyLIZ has been working as an independent artist for nearly seven years. She has sold over 100 original pieces without formal gallery representation. Her work is guided by flashes of visions of colors or lines or shape, which she then translates through acrylic paint onto canvas. Her work is bold, never

fearful of color, and balanced by merging her vision with the freedom of letting the materials create as well, dripping, mixing, splattering. Some pieces inform the viewer with actual words, verses or lyrics. She described her works as experiments. She challenges herself to be a vessel for the creative energy that runs through her, without getting in the way of her truest, purest expression. Lizzie's goal in her art and her life is to express her voice through the medium of painting that she has been led to, in hopes that sharing her gifts with another, will inspire them to find and express their own.
